Selectable closed
loop torque, velocity, or position mode operation. It's as simple as
flipping a switch or setting a bit. The ACS100 meets demanding application
requirements for DC, Brushless DC, or Brushless AC servo motors.
Product
Features & Benefits
Utilizing a DSP-based design architecture,
the new servo ACS100 provides software selectable
Torque, Velocity, or Position Mode operation. Sine wave commutation provides smooth torque
at low speeds for demanding motion control requirements found in robotic, direct drive,
and linear motor applications.
An AC servo (flux vector) algorithm provides higher dynamic
response and better noise immunity than older style servo amplifiers using sine wave
feedback and analog multiplication techniques. Only a single analog input is required for
sine wave operation.

Specifications
Measuring just 1" (26mm) by 5.35" (136mm) by
3.32" (84.5mm) overall this revolutionary compact digital AC servo can output over
700 watts of peak power for up to 60 milliseconds. Operating from a single 12 to 48 VDC
power supply the new ASC100 is rated at 5 Amps continuous/ 15 Amps peak. Designed for use
with DC, Brushless DC, or Brushless AC (vector control) servomotors the ACS100 offers both
RS232 and 485 serial communications. An optional CAN interface version is also available.
Flexibility
The ACS100 is part of a new generation of Automotion
intelligent servo-amplifiers based upon next generation microprocessor and advanced DSP
technology and is supported with easy to use AutoMotion
Window®'s-based tuning
utility and/or optional hand-held set-up terminal. With it's built in intelligent fault
monitoring and diagnostic capabilities the ACS100 brings a new level of motion control
application flexibility and efficiency to Automotion's OEM customers.
